Theme: "The Subject(s) of Human Rights"
By “subject(s),” we refer both to social agents attempting to effect forms of change (progressive or otherwise) as well as to academic subjects organizing and regulating the sorts of knowledge produced around such subjects. In particular, SIAAS 2015 will engage with the production, circulation and transformation of “human rights” discourse primarily in the post-1945 context, and explore how race, gender, class and sexuality have been intertwined with concepts such as civil rights and citizenship to affect the movements of people and relations of power across the Pacific.
Venue:
International Conference Hall @ NTNU Main Library
The main program of SIAAS 2015 will be held at the International Conference Hall, located in the basement level of the Main Library of National Taiwan Normal University.
